You bet it is. This stuff has been around a very long time. It was used a great deal in football-back in the day.

It is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
What are the active and inactive ingredients in Atomic Balm?
Active ingredients are listed as 12.5% Methyl Salicylate & Oleoresin Capsicum. The inactive ingredients are Petrolatum, Lanolin, and Paraffin.
What are the warnings for using atomic balm?
According to the manufacturer: Do not apply on wounds or open skin. Also avoid contact with eyes (and other sensitive areas). This can be poisonous if ingested so keep away from children. If unsure what the problem is, please consult a physician.
What are the directions for use?
Massage gently into painful area. Do not apply more than 3-4 times a day. Spread 1/8 inch layer over area and cover with cloth and secure with elastic bandage (do not wrap bandage tightly).
Is the the hottest product that Cramer makes?
NO, this is the middle product of the Cramer line. The least hot is Cramergesic, then Atomic Balm, then the hottest which is Cramer Red Hot

Exceptions to Standard Shipping Times
APO/FPO – There is no additional fee for APO or FPO addresses, however shipping times are not guaranteed and are limited to Economy and Expedited options. Please call 1800.716.9382 to place an Expedited order to an APO/FPO address. Due to Federal regulations, aerosol cans cannot be shipped to APOs or FPOs and these items will automatically be cancelled out of any orders.
AEROSOL CANS – Due to Federal Aviation Administration regulations, these items cannot be shipped via air and so must be shipped via ground transportation. Economy shipping on these items can take up to 12 business days. All upgraded shipping options will be sent via FedEx Ground and will arrive in 2-6 business days.
PO BOXES/ RURAL ADDRESSES – Orders may be shipped via either USPS or FedEx at our discretion. Please indicate in the Comments section if the address you provided will not be valid with one of these carriers and provide an alternate address if applicable.
BACK-ORDERS – In the rare event that in item is on backorder or unavailable, customers will be contacted immediately
ORDERS OUTSIDE OF THE USA - We do not currently ship outside the United States. If you call, we may be able to accommodate your request.
SHIPPING REFUNDS - Next Day, Second Day and Third day guarantee shipping costs will be refunded only if the shipper or the carrier is at fault for the delay. Shipping costs will not be refunded when the delay is due to weather or an address exception.
