Arthron IMPACT™ O-S Pad

Over the years, Arthron has distinguished itself by providing amazing protective equipment that can help players recover from many common injuries sustained during play. In this case, the IMPACT™ O-S Pad provides excellent coverage for athletes with Osgood-Schlatter's Syndrome, a condition that causes inflammation below the knee. The IMPACT™ O-S Pad combines a sturdy foam pad underneath a rigid plastic shell that further protects and isolates the injured area while still allowing excellent mobility.

IMPACT™ O-S Pad Features:

  • Domed design rests over, not on, injured areas.
  • Rigid shell and padding deflect and disperse force to prevent injury.
  • Adjustable strap ensures a custom fit and mobility.
  • Used extensively by both professional and college football teams.

Please Note: This product is designed to be used as part of an overall therapeutic regimen. Consult your physician or athletic trainer before use, and follow all manufacturer instructions.

Is this price for 1 pad or a pair? Also, what size range does it fit (circumference of the knee)?
They are sold as individual pads. The manufacturer does not have a suggested max circumference but looking at it, max would be about 17-18 inches to be comfortable.

Does this also provide compression to the patella tendon? Does it help to wear this even when not playing sports?
I went and tried to product out to get you the best answer possible. The brace is actually very comfortable. It has great protection for the common (Osgood bump) and does give some compression. I would not say it is as much as a patellar tendon strap but does give some comfortable compression.
